Being there when it matters
At NFU Mutual we are committed to doing business the right way. For more than 100 years we’ve been looking after communities and supporting our members on the issues that matter to them most. We’re proud to deliver more than simply insurance. Educating young drivers, making farming safer, tackling rural poverty, and enabling sustainable living are just some of the ways we do that.
In our latest Responsible Business Report, we share how we’re moving forward with our communities. Helping our members in times of need and supporting communities has always been at the very heart of our approach, and our Agents are our local community champions.
In 2021, our Agents had access to a special £2m fund called the Agency Giving Fund to support local frontline charities who had been affected by Coronavirus. Local agency and branch offices, with locations nationwide, were invited to nominate local charities using their expert local knowledge. Donations have been spread across the country, providing emergency relief, and helping build long-term resilience, including frontline health charities, mental health outreach programmes, and food parcel deliveries. We’re proud to be continuing the Agency Giving Fund again this year, as part of NFU Mutual’s £3.25m charitable giving pledge for 2022.
